Thank you to all of the parents who attended Hillside Public Schools' Open Office Hours this past Tuesday. We had a huge turnout! A special thank you goes out to all of our staff who dedicated their time to assist parents, and Supervisor Mrs. Okparaeke for organizing this day!

This is unity, this is Hillside. Hillside Public Schools just completed an absolutely monumental Ruby Bridges Walk! Students, staff, administrators, Hillside Police Officers, Board of Education members, and community members converged from all corners of Hillside to walk in harmony from Hurden Looker Elementary School to Hillside High School! Led by Superintendent Glover, Colonel Drakeford, the Hillside NAACP, and @hillsideajrotc students, Hillside Public Schools staff, Community Stakeholders, and students from Hurden Looker, Ola Edwards Community School, and Deanna G. Taylor Academy marched in honor of Ms. Ruby Bridges, the first black student to integrate an elementary school in the United States in 1960! October 2nd, 2023 was the first Spirit Week/Week of Respect Day at Hillside Public Schools! Yesterday, Walter O. Krumbiegel Middle School started the week off with none other than an extraordinary assembly led by "Mental Hop". Mental Hop is a creation of Dr. Ralph Sconiers, that promotes mental health awareness in schools while also integrating the power of Hip-hop and contemporary music! The students were deafening and excited throughout the event, and our administrators had a blast!
