Hillside Innovation Academy Highlights

Over 30% of Hillside Innovation Academy graduates have received admission invitations to highly competitive and prestigious high schools in and out of the State of NJ, some with full scholarships.

Hillside Innovation Academy Visual Art Teacher, Rachel Therres was named the 2023 NJ Teen Arts Educator of the Year.

Hillside Innovation Academy has maintained a 95% or greater teacher attendance rate for 2 consecutive years.

Hillside Innovation Academy's 8th grade promotion ceremony is held on Kean University's Campus; the only school in NJ bestowed this honor due to its partnership and adoption by Kean University.

Hillside Innovation Academy scholars' art submissions in the NJ Office of Civil Rights Anti Bias Student Competition were displayed at the Montclair Museum.

Hillside Innovation Academy was the recipient of a 10K matching grant from Green Our Planet, providing HIA with a commercial hydroponics system.

Hillside Innovation was the recipient of a 1K grant, supporting the school's goal of engaging students in technology through the startup of a computer science club for the upcoming academic year.

  • Women of Wellness - a nonprofit organization providing extended learning opportunities for scholars in the areas of Financial Literacy, Goal Setting and Life Strategy

  • The Walk-on-Foundation - providing HIAs coding program
