As we have kicked off the Hillside School District's, “Scholastic My Everyday Books Kickoff!” on November 12th the Hillside High School will participate in a DROP EVERYTHING AND READ DAY, Wednesday November 20th at 10:25 am. The districts initiative is designed to promote literacy across the district and highlight the books being sent home for students’ at-home libraries! The at-home libraries are being launched at our Elementary Schools: Ola Edwards, Deanna G. Taylor Academy, and Hurden Looker! At the High School all classes will end whatever lesson they are currently working on at the end of 3rd period and students will spend the next 15 minutes reading a book of their choice. If your child doesn't have a favorite book to read books will be provided for them. So please make sure your child comes to school with a good book on November 20th so we can all enjoy reading for pleasure.
Thank you to Superintendent Glover and all of our community readers ! @hillsidepl @scholastic @mayorvertreese #hillsidenj #hillsidepublicschools #scholastic #reading #newpride #newpathways #newpossibilities
